During my site visits, I presented three H&Ps that ranged from patients that came in for shortness of breath to suspected sepsis. The site evaluator was very knowledgeable about internal medicine and gave very useful instructions on how to make our H&Ps and presentations stronger. The site evaluation was very helpful as it sparked very interesting conversations about the different cases that we discussed during that time. One such advice that I appreciated was about always asking COPD patients whether or not they are on home oxygen and to include it in my HPI so it helps us know their baseline oxygen levels needed. Even during our presentation of the pharm cards, I was able to learn more about the different drugs that my peers had chosen which I was not aware of. I believe that both the mid site evaluation and the final site evaluation went smooth and I was better prepared this time which helped me to be ready to learn new things.
